As with life, there are no time limits. You play the game to its conclusion. All you can ask is that you play the game with excellence. Play 9 good ones. Live 80, 90, or 100 good ones – whatever you get.

It is hard to be excellent though. We are made to see the world too often in one way only. My hope with this site is to provide a variety of content to support baseball as a metaphor for living, and more importantly, to consider ways to see life in a more balanced and excellent way.

This site is my Chautauqua – an opportunity to reflect on the world. Mostly it is self discovery. If along the way more then I see these words, I’ll be shocked and somewhat pleased.
